Kenzie, The Fish!

Well, we're in the middle of May which only means one thing, it's officially summer (HOT) in Arizona! We see a lot of BBQ's, ice cream, and pool parties happening in our future :)

Our apartment patio overlooks the complex pool so Kenzie has been admiring the splish-splashing fun down in the pool. She didn't have to say anything, we could tell by her expression that she wanted to dive right in!

If only we all looked as cute in our get-up as little miss Hollywood ;)

We finally took her down and let her feet splash, she loved

every second!! She wanted nothing to do with the raft we bought for her to float around in, so we're thinking of getting her in swim lessons as soon as possible. We know it will take a couple years for her to really "get it", but in the mean time we're teaching her to kick her feet and "float"! She'll be a fish, that's for sure!!

I wonder if she'll wear floaties, or if she'll curse them like she did her raft?

Some Activities

John and I are getting busier by the minute! We have not only our careers but a home to keep tidy, healthy meals to prepare, laundry to fold, little teeth and bums to clean, and love and support to give to each other!

With all that we have going on, we still find time to teach Kenzie

new things and she loves learning! We recently explored textures with little sensory bowls filled with dry rice and cotton balls. She went nuts! She absolutely loved digging her fingers in the bowl of rice and gently holding the cotton. She knew that each item was different, an

d she also knew she could get away with making a mess ;)

After our little exploration, we decided to turn our cotton balls into a little art project. Can you guess what we made?!
