Kenzie Turns 5

In October, our sweet and perfect little Red turned 5. Yes, she is the sweetest and most perfect tiny human I've ever met. I am so beyond grateful to call her my daughter. She's brought so much light into my life, and John's.

We spent 3 days Disneyland, and watching the magic and beauty in her eyes was absolutely indescribable. Best vacation to date, and we're already planning a repeat visit :) We loved it!!

Stopping in for a quick hello.

We've been really busy, and I've also been a bit tired and lazy. Updating the blog wasn't on my top priority list, and for that I do apologize. I know some of you enjoy reading about what our little family is up to, but I promise you really haven't missed much.

It's been a wee bit crazy in the house of Mineer, new jobs and schedules are happening, and I'm not taking it all very well. My anxiety and stress have been so far through the roof, it took a stroll around the moon before coming back down. John works his booty off, and we appreciate him so much for it, so I'm happy he's finally going to be working for a company who will also appreciate his greatness. It's about time, right? As for what he'll be doing, I'm still not sure. But, he's on to bigger and better things. Better schedule (well not really, but he'll be guaranteed at least 40 hours a week), better benefits for him and his girls, better pay, vacation time, and better opportunities for our future. I'm learning to be more optimistic about it all, even though our time with him will be limited.

Kenzie is so smart, I can brag and brag and brag about it, but I won't. Let's just say she's perfect, funny, beautiful, and amazes us every day. I feel so damn lucky to have her in my life.

Nothing new or exciting to report on me.

We send our love :)

Sea Life and Swim

Kenzie has a new obsession with mermaids (and all things in the ocean/sea). She wants a mermaid tail, to swim with mermaids, and to have fish friends. We watch a lot, and I mean A LOT, of mermaid/fish related movies because they're her absolute favorite!

I mentioned in a previous post that she's started swim class, and she's doing amazing. She still needs practice, but she can officially swim on her own. We are fortunate to have a pool available to us all day, every day, so she gets to practice.

We recently took her to the Sea Life Aquarium at Arizona Mills Mall, she LOVED it! She was a little afraid of the touch tanks and bubbles (areas where you stand and makes you feel like you're in the water), but she eventually overcame that and was all into it! She even went a few days later with cousins! We had a blast telling her about different creatures and seeing her face light up when she saw the seahorses and sharks!

As for John and I, we're great. Work is... well, it's work. It's very blah blah blah, but we're doing well with it! Nothing new to report.

Miss you all, xoxox-
