Kenzie's awesome cousin, Riley, gave her a scooter that was once hers.Kenzie was very hesitant at first, but lately she's taken a very large interest in scootin' around the apartment.
Today we decided to take a little stroll outside and Kenzie was determined to push along side me, she did great! She rode in style!
Also, and I cannot believe I haven't mentioned this yet, but on May 4th Kenzie started a daycare/preschool! It's an in-home care with a certified teacher who has added on beautiful rooms to accommodate her kids/students. She has computers, tv's, desks, cubbies, etc... They have an outdoor area filled with slides, swings, a very large (and shaded) sandbox, and plenty of bikes/wagons to keep the kids entertained! We loved it from the start.....
.... Kenzie, however, did NOT enjoy it. She is getting much better at being left, but still has days of extremem sadness. I hear though, from a little bird, that she is fine within seconds of me leaving (I know, totally normal). She enjoys her friends and Miss Laura says she just adores sitting at the desk during preschool time. Her favorite time, and this doesn't surprise me, is when they go outside. Miss Laura says it's the only time Kenzie doesn't interact with anyone. She plays by herself and is just so happy, being outside is her safe haven. Any other time, she's a social butterfly! She is learning to enunciate words better and is learning to share her day with us. It's beautiful!
That's it for now :) Until next time...

Kenzie and her Tutu
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted a blog about our little Princess, but I promise this post will make up for it!
Kenzie is very much a toddler, through and through. She is smart and sassy, showing us horrible (and slightly funny) tantrums along the way. April 4th was her "half birthday", which means in just six months she'll be turning 3 years old! Can you believe it? Time FLIES when you're having fun... and when you're running around like a crazy parent!
Her latest obsessions are barbie dolls, dress up clothes, and anything Princess. She can't go one day without wearing a tutu! We run plenty of errands and play in many parks fully dressed in Princess attire. Kenzie is a little girl who believes in pink, glitter, and tutu's.
Here are some cute pictures that will hopefully keep you all happy until my next post :) Enjoy!

Playing in Leaves
Kenzie is a very adventurous little girl, she loves all things outdoors and really enjoys getting dirty! We had a great time a while back walking around the park, completely enjoying the weather and nature. Here are some fun pictures I got on my phone, enjoy!

Kenzie's a Sponge
Our beautiful, smart daughter is at the age where she repeats anything and everything she hears; this is the part where we replace bad words with "tushy" and "gosh darn it."
She now knows the words, "sicko" and "jenga." OK, jenga is a different word so I'll explain why. Do you remember the wood block stacking game, Jenga? Then I don't think I really need to explain further but I will. Kenzie loves stacking her wooden blocks, she's up to stacking about 12 now before they fall. When she gets to stacking that 13th block and they take a tumble I scream "JENGA!" and Kenzie get's all excited and screams it too. It's adorable!
John's responsible for "sicko." I couldn't tell you the entire story but I do know that it started during bath time over this past weekend. John was giving her a bath while I was cleaning up the living room, then all I hear is John say, "Ewwwww, don't do you that you sicko!" Then I hear Kenzie's sweet voice say, "sicko." *face palm*
We love her and her little voice! She's up to 14 now with counting, knows her ABC's (almost entirely) and can recognize most letters as well. We are so proud of her, she's very smart!
Here are some Mineer "mobile moments" for you to enjoy :)

The Mineer Christmas - 2011
Our Christmas was hectic but magical. We were able to see almost all of our family, we tried but alas John had to go to work.
Here are some pictures of the weekend, we hope to see everyone this year! John does work, so we'll spread the holidays out through the entire week :)

Stocking time! |
Kenzie isn't a big fan of opening gifts, she got bored very quickly. |
She was very irritated that this HUGE box didn't have a picture on it! It was a trampoline :) |
